A self-emptying dock is worth paying for when it removes a bin-emptying interruption that happens often enough to annoy you, especially in homes with heavier debris loads or frequent robot runs. The upgrade does not make the robot clean floors better by itself, and it still leaves you with brush, filter, dock, and debris-container maintenance.
